You’ll be in direct contact with your Skriibl interpreter. Meeting details should be exchanged before the meeting or call takes place. Our interpreters will prepare for the meeting, becoming familiar with any terminology relevant to your product and business dealings. When the meeting does occur, we are fully prepared to communicate effectively with your client.
And if you have used Skriibl for other projects, such as translating your website and promotional materials, our linguists will be fully aware of your company and brand, and therefore able to best represent you to your clients.
How does Skriibl deliver interpretation services?
1. Initial Contact
Upon receipt of your request, we review all information and related materials. We then draft a proposal and contract which sets out the scope of the services including all tasks to be performed, our rates, and a quote of the expected total cost to complete the project.
2. Agreement
Upon reaching an agreement and receipt of the signed contract and any required deposit payment, our linguists will begin preparation for your interpretation.
3. Review and Preparation
We carefully review and provided documentation, taking special note of industry terminology and anything we need to research. We may contact you for any necessary clarifications.
4. Appointments
Our linguists will reach out to you about scheduling the interpretation call.
We can join your meeting on whichever platform you require, via telephone or video conference.
5. Interpretation
During the meeting, our interpreter will speak for both you and your client in a process called consecutive interpretation.
We ask for a few sentences at a time, always allowing a pause for the interpreter to speak or make any necessary clarifications or repetition requests.
6. Follow-up
After the meeting has concluded, the interpreter will disconnect when it is clear our services are no longer needed, but we will follow up via email to make sure that our services were satisfactory, and to provide your final invoice.
